Just watched Morgan Freeman's "Prom Night in Missippippi." Great stuff.

I loved the use of stills in the film...very good editing.

What I loved most about it is that it reminds us that progress isn't easy...or even pretty. It can be as akward as a white boy trying to dance (which was indeed painful to watch)...but its always better to dance than sit in the corner and do nothing.

I give it a 9 out of 10.

I have a Yes Men Fix the World review as well...but I want to watch it again before I write that.

Word has it that current N.O. CTO, Harrison Boyd, moved himself into the second floor of the annex building in City Hall which apparently houses the circuit breakers for the entire building. The word is that he has been purposely tripping breakers in order to fuck with other city employees by taking their power out. I think that truly deserves a WTF? . On another note, he is reportedly trying to take over Ed Blakely's role as recovery czar.....yeah please do that, Harrison. We definitely need to pay another asshole to sit in a useless position and spew bullshit at us.

Secondly (and I think much more pertinent):

Anthony "bowling pin" Jones may have taken the MIS department over budget by as much as $4 million dollars in his short and unqualified tenure. That's apparently 50% over the original budget. Good thing he finally finished that B.S. degree in business management from the esteemed University of Phoenix. What does B.S. stand for again? Are they the ones who taught him how to open a bid for a company at a set budget then expand it at will...or was that Ciber?

As I was reading Clancy DuBos's commentary on the firing of LTC and the parallels between Watergate and Nagin's current email fiasco....something occured to me.

What if SunBlock (Christ on a crutch...the irony) actually comes up with the email database? What if they say, "We were able to recover the entire account!" And then when we look through the emails....surprise...there is nothing scandalous at all. What if someone, somewhere, has Nagin's account and is systematically removing any incriminating emails.....then they turn the cleaned account over to SunBlock (once again...its like the heroine in a b-grade movie named "Hope") and voila....crisis averted?

All I can think about is how helpless we've become in the face of Bernanke and the Federal Reserve, we've been completely fleeced and we have no legislative or representative control over it. The Federal Reserve Act signed in 1913 was uncostitutional from it's inception.

Article I, Section 9 of the U.S. Constitution - No Capitation, or other direct, Tax shall be laid, unless in Proportion to the Census or Enumeration herein before directed to be taken.

What that means is that no tax shall be levied against Americans without a consesus vote....in order for any form of taxation to be instituted upon the people of the this country....we have to vote on it.

Now, Amendment XVI (ratified February 3, 1913...the creation of the Federal Reserve) - The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.

You see what they did? They overturned a Consitutional mandate requiring a consensus vote to incorporate any new taxes by simply saying this article is no longer valid. How can you do that without a consensus vote? They rewrote...no...they overturned the Constitution without the consent of the American populous. A rational mind would call that a coup d'etat...we called it the Federal Reserve Act.

Flash forward 100 years....the abomination has evolved to the point where it's become so brash that its funneling what's left of the wealth of this country into a single bank...Goldman Sachs. We have no way of stopping it....none....nor do we have the will.

We've simply become slaves on the Goldman plantation.

I made contact with Christopher Reade to get some technical information on what was actually done to retrieve Nagin's emails....my email and his reponse:

In regards to the backup tapes that were supposed to be created for all of city Hall emails:

1. Were the tapes actually created.

2. If so, I am assuming that Nagin's email account was deleted before the backups were generated....is this correct? Or were the tapes themselves tampered with?

Also

Who is the ISP responsible for the city's email transmissions? Is it CIBER and were the servers set up to archive all email transmissions or not?

Also...did you attempt to actually recover data off of erased drives on both Nagin's computer and the email servers or just one or the other?

Lastly, were the drives O'd in order to overwrite the blocks?

They used to have two-week rolling tapes. In February they switched to an off-site and more robust on-site procedure. The tapes I was given access to were from February of this year. I had no access to tapes before then.

2. Tapes weren’t tampered with – just no data from the past.

ISP – not sure. I suspect they have more than one. The servers only started archiving off-site in February as I understand it.

I was only given access to the two mail servers for the mayorofno.com domain so I have no idea what is on his or any other employee’s PCs. He said today that “all” of his e-mail was recovered from his “personal computer” so perhaps they found an old OST file on it.

Not sure if the server drive was “shredded” but we should know soon…

Judging by my Statcounter numbers I believe I touched a nerve in the previous post.

This comment is of note:

- Another story about Ellis last year - he showed up at an IG organizational and support meeting for Cerasoli (who was not there) one time. In a (small) room full of supporters for Cerasoli trying to figure out how to help him this guy voiced criticisms of the office and the supporters and walked out saying it was a scam. Really odd, screwey little guy is how he seemed to me. What the heck was he doing there besides, I guess, spying and reporting back (he pretty much said as much, he told everyone he was a city attorney).

What makes this interesting is that I was told Ellis had a posse that would follow former Inspector General Cerasoli around to public forums in an attempt to punk him out and discredit him. Witnesses at the meetings say multiple people, i.e., a Tulane law student lacky (would love to find that little bitches name) and other sycophantic asswipes loyal to Ellis would hurl insults and falsehoods in the meeting in an attempt to discredit the IG and his office.

What's shaping up here is a Nagin mafia which may make the Morial crew look pale in comparison. No wonder Cerasoli was requesting that his office be armed....he was being stalked by Ellis and his little, fuckstick posse.

I may have to put a call into Mr. Cerasoli and ask him about this.

This is real simple. Destroying public record is a criminal offense. I think its actually a federal offense which carries a maximum 3 year sentence.

Find out who had access to the servers by putting Anthony Jones' nuts in a very, very, very tight vice. Then put the "professional's" nuts in an even tighter vice until he/they (erh...ciber..cough..errh) cough(s) up Nagin.

UPDATE: There may have been an intermediary between Jones and the "Professional(s)". Someone had to either:

1. Authorize the email deletion.

or

2. Secretly allow access to the email servers.

At the moment, City Attorney, Bob Ellis, is highly suspect considering his wife, Daya Naef, actually works for.....guess who? HSOA...yeah, I shit you not. Oh what an incestuous snake pit this administration is. Could Ellis have authorized the email wipe in order to hide Nagin's connections with contractors...i.e., HSOA, Benetech, Netmethods, etc.?

Ellis is quite the character....multiple blighted properties in Mid-city.....do all Ray's peeps own blighted property?
