But from an American perspective....we don't do that...period. We must view our foriegn policy issues as matters of state...not culture or religion.

If we've reached the point where Israel's Prime Minister is calling Jews within Obama's cabinet anti-semitic....I'm not sure how much more insane it can get.

I wasn't avoiding the issue, I just didn't get around to it. Landrieu seems immovable and even defiant on her stance. Fuck that. She needs to explain herself...the constituency who voted for her in this state is not being served by her decision. If she's going to vote against their best interest...their basic interest, in fact: their health and well being....at the very least she needs to explain herself. If she continues to stonewall the cries of protest coming from the people of this state....she can kiss my happy ass. This is a dealbreaker for me.

I made contact with Christopher Reade to get some technical information on what was actually done to retrieve Nagin's emails....my email and his reponse:

In regards to the backup tapes that were supposed to be created for all of city Hall emails:

1. Were the tapes actually created.

2. If so, I am assuming that Nagin's email account was deleted before the backups were generated....is this correct? Or were the tapes themselves tampered with?

Also

Who is the ISP responsible for the city's email transmissions? Is it CIBER and were the servers set up to archive all email transmissions or not?

Also...did you attempt to actually recover data off of erased drives on both Nagin's computer and the email servers or just one or the other?

Lastly, were the drives O'd in order to overwrite the blocks?

They used to have two-week rolling tapes. In February they switched to an off-site and more robust on-site procedure. The tapes I was given access to were from February of this year. I had no access to tapes before then.

2. Tapes weren’t tampered with – just no data from the past.

ISP – not sure. I suspect they have more than one. The servers only started archiving off-site in February as I understand it.

I was only given access to the two mail servers for the mayorofno.com domain so I have no idea what is on his or any other employee’s PCs. He said today that “all” of his e-mail was recovered from his “personal computer” so perhaps they found an old OST file on it.

Not sure if the server drive was “shredded” but we should know soon…

I have made contact with LTC and I am trying to get the exact process they conducted to find the emails. They have responded and I will post as soon as I get the final response.

Secondly....an "informed" opinion....Judge Ledet is about to open up a massive can of whup-ass on our beloved mayor. I "have a hunch" that she is beyond pissed and is about to bare her teeth.

Judging by my Statcounter numbers I believe I touched a nerve in the previous post.

This comment is of note:

- Another story about Ellis last year - he showed up at an IG organizational and support meeting for Cerasoli (who was not there) one time. In a (small) room full of supporters for Cerasoli trying to figure out how to help him this guy voiced criticisms of the office and the supporters and walked out saying it was a scam. Really odd, screwey little guy is how he seemed to me. What the heck was he doing there besides, I guess, spying and reporting back (he pretty much said as much, he told everyone he was a city attorney).

What makes this interesting is that I was told Ellis had a posse that would follow former Inspector General Cerasoli around to public forums in an attempt to punk him out and discredit him. Witnesses at the meetings say multiple people, i.e., a Tulane law student lacky (would love to find that little bitches name) and other sycophantic asswipes loyal to Ellis would hurl insults and falsehoods in the meeting in an attempt to discredit the IG and his office.

What's shaping up here is a Nagin mafia which may make the Morial crew look pale in comparison. No wonder Cerasoli was requesting that his office be armed....he was being stalked by Ellis and his little, fuckstick posse.

I may have to put a call into Mr. Cerasoli and ask him about this.

This is real simple. Destroying public record is a criminal offense. I think its actually a federal offense which carries a maximum 3 year sentence.

Find out who had access to the servers by putting Anthony Jones' nuts in a very, very, very tight vice. Then put the "professional's" nuts in an even tighter vice until he/they (erh...ciber..cough..errh) cough(s) up Nagin.

I can't wait 'til that fucking smirk gets wiped off Nagin's face.

UPDATE: There may have been an intermediary between Jones and the "Professional(s)". Someone had to either:

1. Authorize the email deletion.

or

2. Secretly allow access to the email servers.

At the moment, City Attorney, Bob Ellis, is highly suspect considering his wife, Daya Naef, actually works for.....guess who? HSOA...yeah, I shit you not.
